Caitlin Clark sustained a quad injury and will be out for Indiana Feverās next games, after a great start of the season. The guard will miss regular season games due to injury for the first time in her professional and collegiate career. However, coach Stephanie White believes that there is a positive from her time off.
āI think itās a great opportunity for Caitlin to watch the game from the sideline, to grow in a coaching kind of mindset and see some different things that we might be talking about on film, addressing in practice, to see it develop in live action,ā White said, according to CBS Sports.
āAs players you see [the game] in a micro viewpoint, and when youāre on the sideline, and youāre watching it as a whole, you get to see it a different way from a macro viewpoint. I think itās gonna give her a unique perspective, and sheās gonna come back better, and itās gonna help us be better,ā she added.
According to White, Clark will be able to be in a ācoachās mindsetā while she is out. āListening to us and our conversations, whether itās in practice or on the sidelines, talking about what our emphasis is, what weāre looking for, and you see it from a different perspective,ā she explained.
