Since her college days, Caitlin Clark has become one of the most famous athletes in the country. Celebrities and other sports stars have shown their admiration for the Indiana Fever guard, including Simone Biles, LeBron James, Jason Sudeikis, Travis Scott, and Taylor Swift. However, Clark wants to catch the attention of Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet.
In a new video posted recently by CBS Sports and “We Need To Talk,’ Clark and some of her Fever teammates were asked which celebrities they would like to see courtside for one of their games.
“Timothee Chalamet, I think we’re going to get him to a game,” Clark said in the video. “Timmy, he’ll be here,” she added confidently. In truth, the two-time Academy award nominee is an open fan of sports, particularly basketball.
In fact, the “A Complete Unknown” actor has been a courtside regular at Madison Square Garden, supporting the Knicks, as a New York native. The Hollywood star has even travelled to support the team on the road during the NBA Playoffs.
While it’s unclear whether the actor will take Clark’s offer, as for now, they are supporting opposite sides in the Eastern Conference Finals. Chalamet was present at Wednesday’s match, in which the Pacers stunned the Knicks (138-135) at the MSG to take the lead in the best-of-seven series.
Caitlin Clark’s continue to shine with the Indiana Fever
While the NBA is on its final stretch, the WNBA is barely starting. The Indiana Fever are 2-1 so far, after they avenged their Tuesday loss (91-90) to Atlanta Dream with a 81-76 win on Thursday. They previously won their debut against the Chicago Sky.
Despite the win, Clark had three fouls by halftime, which limited her influence in the match. She ended with 11 points, four rebounds and six assists. Now, the Fever, who are considered strong contenders this season, will take on defending champion New York Liberty on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
