The 2020 NBA draft gets closer every day and nothing is certain right now for any of the teams. Several trades and more moves have been rumored in recent days but nothing is certain right now. Nobody knows what the teams are going to do with their selections, increasing the rumors every day.

One of the biggest questions is which player is going to get drafted with the No. 1 pick next November 18, as there are at least five players that can go drafted as the first overall selection. LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Obi Toppin and James Wiseman are some of the players that could go as the first pick of this year’s draft.

James Wiseman was recently reported to be unwilling to join the T-Wolves if they draft him. Minnesota already has a big man in Karl-Anthony Towns so Wiseman doesn’t see with good eyes going there to just be a backup. This is the reason why the Timberwolves didn’t want to pick him, either, but now that could be changing.

Timberwolves haven’t ruled out James Wiseman as 1st pick

Even though the young player has reportedly expressed his desire to go play with a different team and the T-Wolves apparent same feeling, the team wasn’t so fond of Wiseman, but recent reports suggest their stance on the player has changed in recent days, according to Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report..

Multiple sources have told Bleacher Report the name they keep hearing now for the Timberwolves is James Wiseman. “Some within the Golden State Warriors think Wiseman is going No. 1, whether Minnesota keeps the pick or not,” one source plugged into the conversation said.

Wiseman is a very talented player. He can be a good addition to any of the teams in the lottery, but going to Minnesota doesn’t seem to be a good option for him. The Golden State Warriors could use Wiseman’s height and he could benefit from learning from Draymond Green and Steve Kerr.

It’s still unclear what these teams are going to do now. Nobody is sure about the 2020 No. 1 overall pick and we probably won’t know until the very night of the event. Wiseman has a bright future ahead but if he goes to the Timberwolves, his development could be compromised.
