Jim Harbaugh will be leading the Los Angeles Chargers’ first team for the second consecutive year, and this time, he’s going all-in in pursuit of big results in the NFL. Beyond turning the team into serious contenders, the veteran head coach has another key objective in mind: getting the most out of his star quarterback, Justin Herbert.

While last season’s results exceeded expectations, the Chargers know they have more than enough talent to take things to the next level. What’s more, the team’s unwavering confidence in Justin Herbert will be crucial if they hope to make an even deeper playoff run.

If there’s anyone placing full confidence in the former Oregon Ducks star, it’s none other than head coach Harbaugh. In a recent media appearance, the experienced HC revealed that his next big goal is to help mold Herbert into a future Hall of Famer.

“I just woke up the other day and say, got to get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. Must get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. It’s just one of those things where you wake up and kind of like three, four in the morning. And sometimes that’s when your best ideas come,“ the HC said on The Rich Eisen Show.

He also added that a key part of the strategy to get the best out of Herbert will be surrounding him with the right pieces: “I think it’s necessary that we get him, you know, surrounded with as many good football players to his level as possible.”

Can Herbert lead the Chargers to a Super Bowl?

Expectations are sky-high for the Los Angeles Chargers heading into the season. Justin Herbert, one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league, will be the key to their success. With Herbert leading the charge, the hope is that he takes his game to the next level and becomes the leader needed to push the Chargers deep into the playoffs. His connection with Ladd McConkey, a key weapon in the offense, will be crucial for their chances.

However, the AFC West remains a tough division. The Kansas City Chiefs, with Patrick Mahomes, are always a contender, while both the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders have made major improvements to their rosters. The division is loaded, and the Chargers will need to step up to compete for the title.

Despite the fierce competition, Los Angeles have the tools to be serious contenders. The Super Bowl is the dream, but the first goal is securing a postseason spot and proving they’re ready for the next step.
