Chop Robinson set off the alarms on Wednesday, when he had to be carted off the field during the Miami Dolphins‘ joint practice with the Detroit Lions. However, it appears there’s no reason to panic in South Florida.

Fins fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief thanks to the second-year edge rusher, who provided a reassuring injury update himself with a five-word message that downplays today’s injury against the Lions.

I’m good yall nothing serious,” Robinson wrote in an Instagram story shortly after the practice with the Lions, letting everyone know he shouldn’t be on the sidelines for long. Needless to say, this is everything Dolphins fans wanted to hear after losing countless players this offseason.

A number of injuries in Miami

Training camp has brought a number of setbacks to Miami, with Mike McDaniel seeing multiple members of his roster go down with injuries. Adding Robinson to that list would’ve been too painful.

As a matter of fact, their primary pass catchers also raised concerns recently―though it appears that Tua Tagovailoa received a crucial update on Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins have a number of players on injured reserve, especially at cornerback with Kader Kohou, Jaison Maitre, and Artie Burns all on the sidelines. In offense, Tua is also working without tackle Obinna Eze, tight end Jalin Conyers, and running back Alexander Mattison.

Dolphins looking forward to Chop Robinson’s second year

Selected with the No. 21 pick out of Penn State in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Robinson lived up to the hype in his first year with the Dolphins. As a matter of fact, he was named in to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. The expectations are sky-high for his second NFL season, and his recent update should allow Dolphins fans to keep their hopes up.
