The new NFL season hasn’t even started yet, and the AFC North is already heating up once again. Joe Burrow took issue with the decision to face the Baltimore Ravens on the road yet again — prompting one of Lamar Jackson’s teammates to fire back at the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback.

It will mark the fourth straight time that Zac Taylor’s team faces John Harbaugh’s squad away from home in prime time — a scheduling decision that has drawn strong criticism from many within the Bengals organization.

In response, Isaiah Likely made some bold statements to the media regarding the situation, even claiming he doesn’t know the name of the stadium where Burrow’s team plays its home games.

“I’ve seen a little clip of Joe saying that he wants a game in Cincinnati out there on primetime,” the TE said on the “Up & Adams” show. “I don’t even know what their stadium is called. I just know, when you come to [M&T Bank Stadium], in prime time television, I mean, that’s just somewhere nobody else wants to be.”

Isaiah Likely #80 of the Baltimore Ravens is tackled by Germaine Pratt #57 and Logan Wilson #55 of the Cincinnati Bengals during the second quarter at Paycor Stadium on January 08, 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

When will the Ravens face the Bengals?

The first game between the Ravens and Bengals in the upcoming NFL season will take place in Week 13, specifically on Thanksgiving Day, November 27. The debate centers around the fact that, once again, the matchup will be held in Baltimore.

On December 14, in the Week 15 matchup, the second game between the two franchises will take place, with the season well into its decisive stretch.

Burrow’s discontent

One of the Bengals’ biggest stars, Joe Burrow, was among the first to speak out about the scheduling for the 2025 NFL season.

In recent statements to the media this week, the quarterback was straightforward: “Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn’t ideal,” Burrow told reporters. “Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati next year. Please.”
