Sporting CP made their narrow first-leg lead count. Following a 0-0 draw against Porto at the Estadio do Dragao, the Lions secured their spot in the 2026 Taça de Portugal final. Having won the trophy in 2025, Sporting will now look to defend their crown against the winner of the other semifinal matchup between AD Fafe and Torreense.
In a match defined by a lack of offensive spark, the pressure was entirely on Porto to find the goal needed to level the aggregate score. The Dragons were fighting for a chance to return to the final for the first time in 70 years, but their ambitions were ultimately stifled.
Porto struggled to penetrate Sporting CP’s disciplined defensive unit in either half. The resulting stalemate handed the Lions their second consecutive trip to the final, while leaving the home crowd at the Dragao frustrated by a clinical, if unexciting, defensive masterclass from the visitors.
