Coco Gauff is taking control of her future both on and off the court. The world No. 3 announced she is leaving Roger Federer’s Team8 management company to establish her own agency, Coco Gauff Enterprises.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the tennis star said the move reflects her broader ambitions beyond tennis. “From the moment I first picked up a tennis racket, I’ve always believed my purpose extended far beyond the court,” Gauff wrote.
“I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Coco Gauff Enterprises, a venture that reflects my passion for making an impact – not just in tennis but in business, philanthropy and beyond,” she wrote.
The 2023 US Open champion added that her new agency will be represented by WME and will focus on growing her career as “an athlete, entrepreneur, and changemaker.”
End of an era with Team8
Gauff had been with Team8, founded by Federer and his agent Tony Godsick, since her breakout at Wimbledon in 2019, where she became the youngest qualifier to reach the main draw and defeated Venus Williams en route to the fourth round.
Reflecting on her time with Team8, Gauff expressed appreciation: “Taking this big step forward also means closing an incredible chapter I’ve shared with Team8. I’ll always be grateful for everything they’ve done for me and my family.”
Building a tennis and business legacy
Since her debut, Gauff has established herself as one of the sport’s top names. She has won nine WTA singles titles, including the 2023 US Open and the 2024 WTA Finals, and has earned over $23 million in prize money.

According to Forbes, she was the highest-paid female tennis player in 2024, with total earnings of $34.4 million. And, apart from this move, she has started to make smart investments in sports, such as joining women’s basketball league Unrivaled.
