Teams have until July 31st to make any acquisitions before the deadline closes. Those involved in trade rumors are expected to make moves either this week or over the weekend, as they aim to strengthen their chances for a postseason run.

Both the Yankees and the Mets have inquired about various players from different franchises. However, emerging rumors suggest a shared interest in a specific Padres player, and San Diego is reportedly open to listening to trade offers from these New York teams.

“The Yankees have been in regular contact with the Pirates, who have a few players who’d interest NYY: Hayes, Bednar, Santana, Keller, and IKF,” Heyman remarked on his X account. This comment highlights the potential targets the Yankees are considering as they aim to bolster their lineup for the remainder of the MLB season.

Heyman has also reported that the Mets are eyeing pitcher Danny Coulombe from the Minnesota Twins. His veteran presence and skill set could prove invaluable as the Mets look to strengthen their pitching staff, but the fan base already made their comments about him, as they believe that the Mets need young players instead of experienced ones.
