We all know that Trevor Bauer is one of the most outspoken players in all baseball. That’s what has made some ball clubs wary about making a run at him. Well, that and the fact that he only wanted to sign one-year deals.

But now that he seems finally open to committing to the same team for a couple of years, the latest Cy Young Award winner is drawing a lot of interest around Major League Baseball after coming off that career year.

As you may know by now, recruiting a player like Trevor Bauer isn’t an ordinary process. In fact, he’s doing his due research on pretty much every single potential team that could sign him, stirring the pot and creating rumors about his future left and right.

Trevor Bauer Is Intrigued ByThe Padres Fanbase

This time, it was the San Diego Padres’ turn to be under Trevor Bauer’s scope. The superstar pitcher posted a video on his YouTube channel on Monday night, giving one San Diego fan the chance to convince him to sign with the Friars.

Bauer even posed with a Padres cap and asked the fan to describe their fanbase in three words, to which he replied ‘faithful, hungry, and passionate’. Notably, the former Cincinnati Reds ace was impressed by his choice of words.

“Faithful, hungry, and passionate — sounds like a pretty food fanbase to play in front of,” Bauer replied, fueling the rumors of his desire to join the most revamped team in the National League.

The Padres recently traded for Blake Snell and Yu Darvish. They also have Dinelson Lamet, Mike Clevinger, Zach Davis, and Chris Paddack; so adding Bauer would definitely give them the best rotation in the league.

Then again, as it often happens with Trevor Bauer, you have to take everything he says with a grain of salt, as he’s got a feeling for being a bit of an agitator when it comes to creating buzz and rumors around the league.
