The Golden State Warriors are rolling right now. After several stumbles and doubts, Steve Kerr’s team is proving once again to be one of the deadliest in the NBA when they’re hot, coming off beating the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns, the best two teams in the league.

A lot of people doubted the Warriors’ ability to get to the playoffs. Now, they control their own destiny and could clinch a spot after nearly securing the 8th seed in the Western Conference ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs.

Stephen Curry continues to play at an MVP level, and with the team piling up wins when it matters the most, Draymond Green likes their chances going into the playoffs with this kind of momentum.

Draymond Green Opens Up On The Warriors Peaking At The Right Time

ā€œIt’s very important we’ve always talked about you want to go into the playoffs rolling. You don’t want to stumble into the playoffs,ā€ Draymond Green told ClutchPoints after the game.ā€œI think we won four straight now. To get these wins, especially these last two, are huge. And when you can take that momentum into the playoffs, it’s good to be playing well right now. But we got to continue to build on it. These last two games are very important,ā€ Green added.

Green Says They Aren’t The ā€˜We Believe’ Warriors 2.0

The Warriors entered this season as a bit of an underdog after Klay Thompson got hurt for the year. Nonetheless, Green shut down that narrative of they being the ā€˜We Believe’ Warriors 2.0, as they already have championship experience and Stephen Curry leading the way:

ā€œWe ain’t no We Believe 2.0. We got f*cking Steph Curry. We got three championships,ā€ Green sentenced.

The ā€˜We Believe’ Warriors were one of the most iconic and beloved teams of the past two decades. Their playoff run was remarkable and the team’s grit and grind earned the respect of their peers. They had plenty of talented, tough competitors. But hey, they didn’t have Steph.
