Anthony Davis is ready to start his new chapter with the Los Angeles Lakers after he officially signed a 5-year, $190 max extension with the Lakers, his team in the last NBA campaign. AD joined forces with LeBron James and took the Lakers to the promised land after the first year.

Now the big man is ready to continue his dominance with the King and this contract assures he’ll be in Los Angeles at least for four more years. After spending his first seven years with the New Orleans Pelicans, Davis joined the Lakers in a blockbuster trade last offseason and that was the best move for him and the purple and gold.

AD made the bank for the second time now, signing a huge contract with the Lakers, who expect him to be the present and the future of the franchise. He will receive a lot of money over the next five years and is set to join the list of players who make $40 million a year.

The contract includes an early termination for the fifth year so it’s not completely secure that Davis will get that money in 2025. He will have the chance to hit the market at age 31 and the chance to take his talents to a different team.

By 2025, AD will make $190 million. In the first year of his deal, he will be making $32,742,000; the second one he’ll be getting $35,361,360, making two more millions in 2023 with $37,980,720. In the fourth year of his contract, Davis is set to make $40,600,080 and $43,219,440 in the last year of the deal.

He has been linked with the Chicago Bulls and at the time he’s testing the waters of free agency again. He could still be a good addition to the Bulls. LeBron James also signed an extension with the Lakers and the team is ready to run it back with their two stars leading the way.
