James Harden shocked the NBA world by demanding a trade in the offseason, but the Houston Rockets didn’t want to engage in any talks with other teams unless they were willing to pay a steep price for his services.

Harden replied by showing up overweight and late to training camp, and it seems like he’s just not motivated to be out there even though the front office surrounded him with great talent ahead of the season.

And now, to make things even worst, Harden publically called his teammates out after back-to-back losses to the Los Angeles Lakers, and it’s clear that he just doesn’t want to be there anymore.

James Harden Says The Houston Rockets Can’t Be Fixed, Walks Out Of Presser

“We’re not even close, honestly, to that team, and all the other elite teams out there. You can tell the difference in these last two games. We’re just not good enough. Chemistry, talent-wise, everything. I love this city… I’ve done everything that I can. This situation is crazy, but it’s something that I don’t think you can fix,Harden said before walking out of the presser.

John Wall Calls Out James Harden For His Comments

Needless to say, his new teammate John Wall didn’t care for his comments or his attitude and didn’t hesitate to fire back at him during his press conference, claiming that the team can’t be good if he doesn’t buy into what they’re trying to do:

“Whenyou have certain guys in the mix who don’t want to buy in all as one it’s gonna be hard to do anything special, to do anything good as a basketball team (…)C’mon, man, you want to jump off the cliff off of nine games? There’s a lot of basketball still to be played,” Wall said.

Harden Is Going Through The Worst Stretch Of His Career

Actually, it seems like James Harden should hold himself to the same standard he’s trying to hold his teammates. He’s 20 pounds overweight and is having the worst shooting stretch of his career with theRockets.

According to StatMuse,Harden has scored 20+ points over the past four games, which is the longest stretch of his career dating back to 2012 when he was coming off the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Perhaps he should try to lead by example rather than blaming everybody else for the team’s struggles, especially considering the Rockets have given him all the weapons he’s needed to win a ring for the past 8 years and he’s failed to deliver.
