Russell Westbrook has been traded to the Washington Wizards after a couple of weeks full of speculation regarding his future in the NBA. Russ spent one season in H-Town, leaving a lot to desire with his partnership with James Harden. Russ had requested a trade from Houston a couple of weeks ago and now the team has granted him his wish.
In exchange, the Wizards sent All-Star point guard John Wall to Houston, who hasn’t played an NBA game for two years and when he makes his return, it'll be with a new team.
Seeing Wall’s reluctance to play for another team other than the Wizards, this move didn’t look that likely but this is the NBA and anything can happen here. Fans were very surprised and they didn’t hesitate to react on social media.

Wall will join James Harden, whose future is still unclear right now and DeMarcus Cousins, his former teammate in Kentucky. John can’t shoot and that could be a problem for the Rockets, but as a playmaker, he’s one of the best in the league.
Perhaps this won’t be the only big move the Rockets are making this offseason since Harden’s future is still up in the air. Wall hopes to help the Rockets compete in the West while Westbrook is ready to join forces with Bradley Beal in Washington.
