One of the most remarkable moments for the Golden State Warriors came last decade, when the team was among the most dominant franchises in NBA history. With Stephen Curry playing some of the best basketball of his career, the Warriors were nearly unbeatable. Now, as the playoffs approach, Curry is playing better than ever.

His 52-point performance against the Memphis Grizzlies helped secure a crucial victory over a team also vying for a playoff spot. Of those 52 points, 36 came from three-pointers, contributing to Curry’s achievement of tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA milestone.

With 12 three-pointers made, Curry not only tied the Lakers legend but also came close to breaking a record held by his former teammate Klay Thompson, who set the record with 14 three-pointers in a single game. After the game, Curry shared his thoughts on the milestone he was so close to surpassing.

“That first two threes in the fourth quarter, I was definitely thinking about Klay, about Chicago, this is the closest I’ve been with that much time left. But after that, reality check, we had to win the game, and we did,“ Curry said to Warriors on NBC Sports.
