This could be a turning-point season in the new era the Denver Broncos are navigating in the league. It’s become clear that Bo Nix has what it takes to lead this team and he’s already sending a strong message to his rivals: he’ll be stepping into the upcoming season far more prepared than he was at the start of his NFL journey.

As teams across the league begin to show their first moves, Sean Payton’s Broncos are no exception. There’s a growing sense of optimism in Denver, with hopes high that they can make a major statement starting in Week 1.

One of those leading the charge is none other than the quarterback himself. In recent comments to the media, he expressed excitement about what’s ahead, making it clear to his rivals that he’s coming into this new chapter with more experience—and a strong determination to elevate his game.

“I feel like I’m a lot further,” Nix said, via the team’s website. “Just spitting out play calls [is] a lot easier, and processing. … It’s a lot better. It’s a lot more enjoyable not thinking right now as opposed to what I was doing last year. It’s fun. It’s fun to be in the know.

“I haven’t done anything up until this point, and I have a lot to prove and a lot to show,” Nix said. “Every day, it’s [about] working. Every day, it’s finding a way to get better. You don’t want to get to Year 2 or go down the road, and all of a sudden you got stuck and didn’t get any better. So, that’s my focus right now.

“… It’s not even worrying about what people say. Just internally, I know I have a long way to go.”
