CeeDee Lamb goes off on Cowboys after Micah Parsons requests immediate trade

After Micah Parsons dropped a trade request for the Dallas Cowboys, his teammate CeeDee Lamb made his disgust known.

Micah Parsons decided that enough is enough. After the contract talks with the team didn’t get him a new deal, he requested a trade to leave the Dallas Cowboys. After that, another of the team’s stars, CeeDee Lamb, reacted to the news, and let’s just say he is not happy.

Lamb took offense to the situation, and he went off on his X profile. “Never fails dawg. Just pay the man, what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular.” Not only is Lamb against the Cowboys stance to not pay Parsons, but that last sentence also indicates he is disappointed of the way Dallas wanted to strong arm Parsons.

Parsons stated on X that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys front office tried to hold contract talks with him without his agent present. Also, Jones publicly criticized Parsons for getting injured. Lamb could also be referring to that as “extra curricular.”

Parsons is fed up, and so are his teammates

Parsons tried to get the Cowboys to extend his contract since before the 2024 season. He wanted to be a Cowboy long-term. He also deserves a new deal. Parsons has had 12 or more sacks in each of his four seasons in the NFL. He has made the Pro Bowl four times and even better, he is a two-time All Pro.

With numbers like that, it’s no surprise that his teammates are furious with the team. Lamb is just one of the many Cowboys players to voice his frustrations. Trevon Diggs, DeMarvion Overshown and Juanyeh Thomas all changed their social media avatars with a picture of Micah Parsons.

Are the Cowboys cheap?

For Cowboys fans, this is just frustrating. A couple of weeks ago, they signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a three-year, $52 million extension. More than that, every single new player Dallas has is not precisely tied to big contracts.

Defensive end Dante Fowler is on a one-year, $8 million contract. Receiver George Pickens is still under his rookie deal. New running backs Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders earn a combined $4.34 million. Jerry Jones is not paying a single soul this offseason and for a team with high expectations, it’s not looking great.
