During his tenure with Miami, Jalen Ramsey had decent seasons, but nothing extraordinary. For this reason, the Dolphins decided to find a trade partner to free up salary-cap space.
Before the trade, Ramsey requested a new deal from the Dolphins, which the club rejected. Upon his arrival in Pittsburgh, the cornerback received a lucrative contract he is very grateful for.
Jalen Ramsey signed a four-year, $84.7 million deal with the Steelers. The cornerback has since thanked Pittsburgh’s general manager Omar Khan for the commitment, throwing shade at the Dolphins for refusing to give him one at the time.

“Man, got a lot of respect for you Mr. Omar,” Ramsey said. “Taken care of me, TJ, Slay. Cam is next. We excited man. We got potential to do something great if we got all our guys out there happy and feeling like they’re valued. I know a little something about feeling valued and getting what you deserve. I’m with you, I’m with you.”
