Mike Tomlin faces a huge challenge with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite signing Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, and Jalen Ramsey, many experts believe his streak of 18 consecutive non-losing seasons is at risk.
That prediction seems hard to believe considering the roster also includes names like TJ Watt, Cam Heyward, Patrick Queen, Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Warren, Darius Slay, and Joey Porter Jr.
However, the reality is that in the NFL environment, most are leaning toward leaving the Steelers out of the playoffs and would consider it a true miracle if Tomlin turns this team into a Super Bowl contender.
Who did Steelers just sign?
In the final stretch of training camp, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed tight end Kevin Foelsch and defensive back Mikey Victor. It is noteworthy that they are adding to the tight end position despite a crowded depth chart that already includes Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington, Connor Heyward, and now Foelsch.
Who did the Steelers cut?
The Steelers let go of tight end D.J. Thomas-Jones as well as defensive back Cameron McCutcheon. Thomas-Jonesâ situation has attracted significant attention, as only last April the Steelers awarded him a $30,000 signing bonus, the biggest they have ever given to a non-quarterback undrafted free agent.
