As the Atlanta Falcons are trying to shape up for the upcoming NFL season, they might feel lucky for the news of a key weapon. This will also make Michael Penix Jr. very happy.
This is because, as reported by Terrin Waack, the Falcons beat writer, reported that none other than Kyle Pitts has been cleared for football action and this means the offense should be in full force to start the campaign.
Pitts was dealing with a foot injury that made him miss part of the spring camps. It seems like it’s all a thing of the past and Pitts will be ready to go. The tight end was drafted to be an all-world player but has failed to unleash his full potential. Every offseason, the Falcons promise a better future for Pitts but the team hasn’t figured how to properly use him quite yet.
Penix Jr. is very happy though
One player is very happy and that’s quarterback Michael Penix Jr. The second-year quarterback will always welcome the best weapons available and he made it known in the press conference. Penix said, “See we got Pitts the ball? Gonna be a lot of that.” Penix trusts his tight end.
Pitts had 602 yards last season with 4 touchdowns. He only surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark in his rookie season which is his only Pro Bowl season. He should be finally entering his prime as he will be 25 years old when this season ends.

Who can Atlanta rely on?
Penix will have very good weapons to target this season. The quarterback won’t solely rely on Pitts, though he will be used. The wide receiving corp is good with Drake London as the first option and Darnell Mooney as WR2.
Bijan Robinson is a certified star at running back. However, when he needs to catch a breath, there is Tyler Allgeier to bring full steam and a more aggressive style to the backfield. This offense should be very, very good this NFL season.
