NFL News: Alvin Kamara’s Saints sign former Super Bowl champion with Matthew Stafford’s Rams

New Orleans Saints continue to make moves in the offseason and have signed a former Super Bowl champion with Matthew Stafford on the Los Angeles Rams, making him a standout teammate for star running back Alvin Kamara in the 2025 NFL season.

The New Orleans Saints are shaping their roster for the 2025 NFL season and have already started making additions to strengthen the team. Star running back Alvin Kamara is now joined by a former Super Bowl champion with the Los Angeles Rams, the team led by quarterback Matthew Stafford. An experienced reinforcement for a crucial time that demands strong performances.

Last week, Kamara’s team was pursuing and even made a push for another key Rams player, Cooper Kupp. However, in recent days of the offseason, the veteran wide receiver signed with the Seattle Seahawks after a highly debated departure from Los Angeles.

Adding a Super Bowl champion is a significant decision for any team. In this case, for New Orleans, it’s a defensive player who was a backup for the Rams during the 2021 NFL season. Coach Kellen Moore will have a quality player at his disposal during key moments.

Super Bowl champion to play for Saints

The former Stafford teammate with the Rams joining the Saints is none other than defensive end Jonah Williams. The New Orleans franchise did not announce financial terms, but the deal with the former Los Angeles player will extend for one year.

Although Williams was part of the Super Bowl LVI championship roster, his role was limited during that season, and he didn’t have a significant impact in the game where the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. Nonetheless, he supported star quarterback Stafford throughout that year.
