Bo Nix’s arrival in the NFL, following a successful run with the Oregon Ducks, wasn’t just a pleasant surprise — it also earned him a spot among the top 100 players in the rankings for the upcoming season. But he isn’t satisfied just yet. The Denver Broncos’ leader knows he has much more to offer, and he’s already issued a warning to the rest of the league.

One of the most promising young quarterbacks admitted he’s in constant competition with himself — a mindset that drives him to give his best in every game. According to Nix, even his latest performance needs to be improved.

That’s why, in a recent conversation with the media, one of the Broncos’ top stars didn’t hesitate to say he’ll work tirelessly to become the best player in the world at this sport.

ā€œI think it’s obviously a cool honor, because that’s [what] your peers think — [the] guys you play,ā€ Nix said, via the team’s official website. ā€œAt the same time, just the way I think, the way I am motivated, I want to continue to get higher [on the list].

ā€œNot even for the ranking. It doesn’t really matter what you’re ranked, it’s just an internal standard that I have that I want to be the best in the world. I know there are a lot of guys that I’m competing for that with. I’m not going to stop until I at least give it my best try.ā€

Improving on what’s been done

In a division where the Chiefs remain clear favorites, and both the Chargers and Raiders are aiming to join the group of true contenders this year, it won’t be an easy task for Sean Payton’s Broncos to achieve big results.

ā€œI just want to continue to show these guys that I’m willing to work, and find every which way we can to find wins and find every which way for me to get better,ā€ Nix said.

ā€œI know I have a lot of growth left, a lot to be done, but these guys are going to help me get there. We’re just out here just kind of sharpening each other, going best-on-best and just finding ways to make each other better. It’s fun.ā€
