Cousins has gone from being the offensive cornerstone to a potential backup, or even a trade candidate, becoming the center of debate due to his hefty contract. His starting role has been in doubt ever since the franchise opted to name Michael Penix Jr. as QB1 in the Falcons.
While questions remain on offense following a 10–17 preseason loss to the Detroit Lions, the Falcons took action by securing the signing of a free agent to bolster their defense after a stint with the Colts.

Harrison Jr. joins the Falcons after appearing in 10 games with the Colts last season, recording two tackles and a forced fumble. In previous years, he had already proven to be a valuable piece in key situations, contributing two interceptions and 20 total tackles in 2023.

Falcons bolster the defense
