The Philadelphia Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, are looking to the future with a solid and ambitious foundation heading into the 2025 NFL season after winning the Super Bowl against none other than Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs. In line with that goal, they have already begun making changes to the roster.

After an impressive performance last season, where Hurts and the offense stood out for their versatility and effectiveness, the team is in an excellent position to remain contenders for a title repeat in the 2025 NFL campaign. Although they have already begun feeling movements in the offseason, the structure of Nick Sirianni’s team gives fans confidence that the Eagles will continue to be a force to be reckoned with.

On Monday, the Eagles made the decision to release six-time Pro Bowl cornerback and Super Bowl LVII finalist Darius Slay, a move that will save Philadelphia approximately $4.3 million against this year’s salary cap. A few hours later, another NFL championship game participant’s name was released.

Hurts’ teammate in Super Bowl LVII, who will be released by the Eagles, is none other than veteran DB James Bradberry, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on his X (formerly Twitter) account. The 31-year-old will be waived on June 1. The move will allow Philadelphia to save $2.1 million against the salary cap.

Is Bradberry a Super Bowl champion with Hurts’ Eagles?

Although Bradberry was an Eagles player, he did not play a single minute last season and did not participate in the NFL title won by the Philadelphia franchise. His absence was due to a serious injury that sidelined him.

The injury that sidelined Bradberry for the entire season was a torn Achilles tendon suffered in practice before the start of last season. However, the 31-year-old veteran had participated in the Super Bowl in 2023, where the Eagles lost to the Chiefs.
