The Dallas Cowboys are making their rebuild for the 2025 NFL season following a disappointing year for owner Jerry Jones‘ team. In this context, they have made a move in free agency, signing a player who was recently part of the Super Bowl-winning roster of the Philadelphia Eagles, led by star quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Dallas’ offense needs to add experience in order to make a strong push for the NFC Championship in the 2025 season, with the ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl. Jerry Jones’ franchise is focused on bringing back the best version of Dak Prescott, and to achieve that, they will add a backup who has already been a target of Jalen Hurts‘ passes.
A player from the Eagles, although not as prominent in this case, could bring a much-needed winning mentality to Dallas. With an already talented roster, the receiving unit will be further strengthened alongside the presence of CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. The Cowboys won’t want to repeat what happened last year.
Former Hurts teammate to join the Cowboys
The Super Bowl champion with the Eagles who joins Jerry Jones’ Cowboys is none other than wide receiver Parris Campbell, as reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter on his X (formerly Twitter) account. The 27-year-old will have a one-year contract with Dallas.

Campbell was part of the Philadelphia Eagles’ active roster during their victory in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs, despite not recording any stats in the game. During the 2024 regular season, the former teammate of Hurts registered six receptions for 30 yards and one touchdown.
