It was in the last postseason when MVP Josh Allen faced off against star quarterback Lamar Jackson as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round. That game shaped many outcomes in the NFL playoffs, but now, one player goes from rival to teammate on the AFC East squad.

The Bills fell short against the Kansas City Chiefs and are now aiming to rebuild their defensive strength for another shot next season. The Ravens, on the other hand, had an impressive campaign but are now looking to reshape their roster and surround Jackson with the right pieces. In that context, Buffalo is once again turning to a familiar face.

The player returning to the Bills to reunite with Josh Allen is none other than cornerback Tre’Davious White, who has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $6.8 million with the Buffalo franchise, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.

White returns to the Bills after stints with the Los Angeles Rams and Lamar Jackson’s Ravens, where he played in the 2024 season. The Buffalo franchise had selected him in the first round of the 2017 draft, and he had become an important player for the team.

White’s career in the NFL

During his NFL career, White has amassed 333 tackles, 18 interceptions and 73 passes defensed in 93 games, but despite his outstanding numbers, White has been hampered by significant injuries, including a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles tendon in 2023.

When he signed with the Rams, it looked like his career was back on track, but he was only able to start four games before being traded to the Ravens, where he had a limited role. Now 30 years old, White is looking to regain his form and contribute to the Bills defense once again.
