The Tush Push play is used in short-yardage situations and is very similar to a quarterback sneak. As the quarterback dives forward, the entire offensive line drives into the defensive line, while the defense isnāt allowed to do the same kind of push. In fact, other offensive players push from behind to help their quarterback pick up the first down.

Is the NFL banning the Tush Push?
The NFL has not banned the Tush Push play by the Eagles. As it has been mentioned, during the recent annual league meeting in Florida, all team owners discussed a proposal to ban the play permanently, but, in the end, they decided to table the vote, postponing any decision until at least May.
