The Los Angeles Rams are still building their offensive rebuild after signing wide receiver Davante Adams, who joined the team on a two-year, $46 million deal. Adams has quickly become a key piece alongside quarterback Matthew Stafford and breakout receiver Puka Nacua heading into the 2025–26 NFL season.
Stafford returned from a lower back injury suffered during training camp, but his $35 million-per-year extension shows the organization’s continued trust in his leadership. With Adams as the primary target and Puka as a strong complement, the Rams aim to revitalize their traditional passing attack after a lackluster 2024 campaign.
While the offense is centered on the passing game, success will also depend on the ground game, and the Rams are well aware of that. With that in mind, the front office moved quickly to extend a key offensive weapon for Stafford.
Who just signed a new deal with the Rams?
The Rams player who signed a contract extension is none other than running back Kyren Williams, who agreed to a three-year, $33 million extension with Stafford’s team. The deal includes $23 million guaranteed.

Williams was a major contributor last season, rushing for 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns on 316 carries in 2024, his second year in the league. The extension firmly secures his future with the team, making him the seventh-highest-paid running back in the NFL based on average annual value.
