In the midst of celebrating their second consecutive NHL championship, the Florida Panthers face a crucial crossroads: securing the continuity of their star core. In addition to possible extensions for Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand, attention is also focused on Aaron Ekblad, who is in the final stage of his contract and could become a free agent on July 1.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his present situation and the possibility of free agency, Ekblad has been open about his thoughts. It’s clear that winning back-to-back championships doesn’t happen often. In that context, the Panthers are among the few teams in history to have achieved this feat.
