The Vancouver Canucks are keeping up the momentum this offseason. After securing key pillars like Thatcher Demko, Brock Boeser, and Conor Garland to multi-year contract extensions, the NHL team is now reinforcing its blue line with a promising addition.

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced that the club has signed defenseman Jett Woo to a one-year, two-way contract. The 24-year-old played a central role for the Abbotsford Canucks during their Calder Cup-winning playoff run, and the organization sees him as a potential NHL contributor.

“Jett was a key member of our playoff run in Abbotsford,” said Allvin, according to NHL.com. “Logging those minutes in the playoffs should help him become a better player and leader moving forward. It’s an experience he can build on this fall to start next season.”
