France performance went from zero to one hundred really quickly in the second half of the Qatar 2022 World Cup final game, especially as Kylian Mbappe showed his potential as the next big legend in football. However, at the end, Argentina won over the Blues in a penalty shootout, and the reactions from the entire football world didn't wait long enough.

One of them was Mesut Ozil, the 2014 World Cup winner with the Germany national team, and very close to a player who was part of the 26-man list for France for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Karim Benzema. However, Ozil's words weren't exactly nice for the Blues.

Karim Benzema was ruled out for an injury, but without any big reason at all. In fact, a week later in Madrid, he was fit enough, and just a week before the final game of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, he played in a friendly matchup with his club. However, Didier Deschamps kept his decision as he could have brought him back for the last matchup.

Qatar 2022: Mesut Ozil brings up Karim Benzema to France after loss to Argentina

Previously to the game, France's coach Didier Deschamps was asked about the possibility to bring Karim Benzema again exclusively to play in the World Cup final. However, he opted out on that option, according to what he had and what he wanted. Especially with Olivier Giroud as a good striker.

However, after the loss former Real Madrid player and Benzema's teammate Mesut Ozil didn't hesitate to post about his thoughts on leaving out the 2022 Ballon D'or winner, and one of the most fittest strikers in the world, right now. In fact, there were some messages on social media about a possible beef between the coach and the player.

Benzema was ruled out one week previous to the game opener at the Qatar 2022 World Cup for France. He traveled back to Madrid, where in one week he was ready to play again. In fact, as Deschamps himself said, he didn't wanted to replace him, and had to the chance to bring him back to the squad.
