Barcelona and Real Madrid is one of World soccer’s biggest sporting rivalries. Marked as one of the 10 sporting events in the world any sports fan must attend, the Spanish classic has showcased some of the best players in the game. From Diego Maradona to Lionel Messi or Hugo Sanchez to Cristiano Ronaldo, the stars come out in force for the Spanish derby.

This season el clasico will not showcase the talents of Lionel Messi for the first time since 2003. On Real Madrid’s side the team will not feature longtime former captain Sergio Ramos. Still there are some great players on display, Sergiño Dest (USA), Marc Ter Stegen (Germany), Ronald Araujo (Uruguay), Eric García (Spain), Sergio Busquets (Spain), Frenkie de Jong (Holland), Memphis Depay (Holland) and Martin Braithwaite (Denmark) will be there for Barcelona, while for Real Madrid they will have Thibait Courtois (Belgium), David Alaba (Austria), Eder Militao (Brazil), Federico Valverde (Uruguay), Casemiro (Brazil), Luka Modrić (Croatia), Karim Benzema (France) and Eden Hazard (Belgium).

When is Barcelona - Real Madrid?

The first clasico of the season will take place on October 24th, 2021, at the Camp Nou, Barcelona’s home stadium. The game will be played to 100% capacity, the first clasico to be played with fans since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The second meeting of the season in LaLiga will take place in March at Real Madrid’s homegrown the Santiago Bernabéu, the game will be played on March 20th, 2022 with a time to be determined.
