The Portuguese legend will be back to the place where he rose to stardom. Cristiano Ronaldo has left Juventus and is ready to begin his second spell at Manchester United, where he shone under Sir Alex Ferguson wearing the number 7 jersey.

His six-year stint at the Old Trafford was unforgettable and fans couldn't wait for his return ever since he bid farewell in 2009, when he joined Real Madrid. The 36-year-old now arrives in Manchester with even more accolades under his belt but is still eager for success.

A three-time Premier League winner, Cristiano knows quite well what winning with United is like, as he even lifted the first of his five Champions League titles with the Red Devils. However, he might begin this new chapter wearing a different number on his back.

Cristiano goes back to Man United: Who is the team number 7?

Whenever we looked back at Ronaldo's days at United, we couldn't picture him with any other number than the 7. That's the shirt he went on to use for the rest of his career, except during his first season at Madrid when he used the No. 9.

But now, Cristiano would have to consider other jersey options as Manchester United's number 7 shirt is taken by Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan striker arrived in England last season and chose a jersey that has been cursed since Cristiano left.

Cavani seemed to break the jinx, though, as he had a positive first year at the Old Trafford. He holds the same shirt, so it remains to be seen what number will Ronaldo wear this season.
