LAFC and LA Galaxy will face each other in a new edition of the Los Angeles Derby, also known as El Tráfico, in a Week 6 game for the 2020 MLS regular season. Both teams know eachother pretty wellso we can expect a close matchup when they face off again tomorrow at the Banc of California Stadium.

LAFC scored 16 goals in their MLS is Back tournament campaign in Orlando, even without their star Carlos Vela, who decided to stay with his pregnant wife in Los Angeles. The team were eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Orlando City SC on penalties, but there’s no doubt that LAFC are one of the best in the Major League Soccer today.

LA Galaxy will be looking for revenge. Thedisappointing 6-2 defeat against their bitter rivals in the MLS is Back tournament left the Galaxy last in their group stage. Manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto has the opportunity to resume the team’s MLS regular season campaign with a victory over LAFC, but it won’t be easy at all.

LAFC vs. LA Galaxy Storylines

LAFC have already shown that they are still a very competitive team even without Carlos Vela, their key player. LAFC haven’t lost after five MLS regular season games (2 wins and 3 draws) and hopes to keep that way after Saturday’sEl Tráfico Derby.

LA Galaxy’s campaign has been quite different so far. Barros Schelotto’s side haven’t won a single MLS regular season game yet (2 draws, 3 losses) and their participation in the MLS is Back tournament was a real disappointment.
