Daryl Dike's progress hasn't gone unnoticed. The Orlando City striker has not only made a name for himself in the MLS but also in the English Championship, where he had a positive loan spell with Barnsley, and was in the limelight again during the 2021 Gold Cup with the USMNT.

The 21-year-old sensation is one of the most exciting prospects in the MLS and his tenure in England proved he can adapt to competition abroad. Dike scored an impressive nine goals in 19 appearances in the English second-tier.

In the summer he continued in great form by scoring twice in the USA run to the regional title but, despite the transfer rumors, he stayed in Orlando. Now, however, he has apparently drawn serious interest from the Premier League.

Orlando City reportedly ask for $24.5m to sell Dike to Premier League team

Dike, who has three goals and an assist in nine games in the 2021 MLS regular season, has been linked to interest from the English top-flight. According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on him.

However, the £18 million asking price ($24.5m) Orlando have reportedly set for Daryl Dike may be considered too high for The Eagles, who wouldn't be looking for an immediate starter but to add depth in attack instead.

Dike's future looks promising and he still has time to continue improving his game and show what he is capable of doing. But in the meantime, Crystal Palace might believe it's too soon to satisfy Orlando's high demands.
