Messi’s first goal came after a defensive error from the opponent, which the Argentine capitalized on by lofting the ball from outside the box over the goalkeeper, who couldn’t deflect it, allowing it to find the back of the net.
The third goal was reminiscent of the Pep Guardiola-era Barcelona, with Sergio Busquets setting up the Inter Miami captain, who sprinted towards the goal and once again chipped the ball over the goalkeeper, effectively sealing the match early.
This marks the 159th brace of the Argentine’s career and the eigth with The Herons, following his goal-scoring performance in Inter Miami’s previous match against Montreal CF.
