Andy Ruiz Jr. vs Chris Arreola: Storylines

Andy Ruiz Jr. shocked the boxing world in June 2019 when he defeated the British Anthony Joshua by KO. The Mexican landed to that fight with short notice and overcame all odds claiming the four heavyweight belts.

Still, the joy afterthat triumph didn’t last very long, as in the rematch in December Ruiz showed up in bad shape and suffered a disappointing loss. He struggled to recover from that night, going through depression and he was seen very overweight. Still, Ruiz found a way to bounce back and started to work under Eddy Reynoso’s guidance, who made the boxer lose his extra pounds to return to the ring aiming to be a title contender once again.
