Back in 2003, the world was split into two halves. Those who thought that LeBron James was going to be one of the greatest NBA players to ever do it, and those who thought he was just an overhyped kid. Fast-forward to today, and it’s clear that just some of them were right. However, the other half continues to try and find a way to take all the great things he’s accomplished away from him. Even now that he’s entering his 18th season in the league and continues to play likea superstar and leads the Los Angeles Lakers.

James is currently averaging 25.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.7 three-pointers on 49.5% from the floor, a career-high 39.5% from beyond the arc, and 72.3% from the free-throw line.

Moreover, he’s had to carry the load for the Lakers most nights with Anthony Davis struggling with injuries since the start of the season, leading his team to a 20-6 record in the Western Conference at age 36.

Skip Bayles Claims LeBron James Isn’t A Legit Candidate For MVP

Nonetheless, none of that seems to be enough for bonafide LeBron James hater Skip Bayless to think that he’s got a shot at winning the MVP award. If anything, he shouldn’t even be in the conversation:

“Isaid last season LeBron deserved MVP. But this year? He’s 2nd in the NBA in turnovers! (To Luka.) He ranks 95th of 112 in free-throw percentage! Missed walk-offs in last 2 home games vs nonplayoff teams! One 7-game stretch: 5-24 in 4th q’s! Nitpicks? Significant nits,” Bayless tweeted.

If you’ve been around the NBA long enough, you know that you just can’t take Skip Bayless seriously, especially if he’s talking about LeBron James. And while James may not be leading the MVP race, his take is just atrocious.
