Ever since the news broke of Anthony Davis joining LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, everybody expected the duo to become the most dominant one-two punch in the NBA entering this year.

Needless to say, the two haven’t disappointed thus far, as one led the league in assists per game and was a top-3 MVP vote-getter, while the other finished in second in the Defensive Player of the Year award voting.

The Davis-James duo was a match made in heaven. Having AD around took a lot of pressure off of LeBron’s shoulders as he’s no longer the team’s go-to-guy in the offensive end. That has allowed him to stay fresh and contribute in the defensive end as well.

Moreover, James’ presence opens up a lot of space in the paint for Davis to dominate, and there’s just no way to beat the Lakers when both are at their best. However, a great part of their dominance has come from the solid relationship they’ve built off the court.

LeBron James Gives Lesson On How To Read Anthony Davis’ Famous Unibrow

That’s why The King has already learned how to read his All-Star teammates’ facial expressions. In fact, he was kind enough to teach us how to read his famous unibrow to see whether he’s angry or not:

“If his brow is really low, you know not to talk to him. If it’s higher, then he’s accepted the fact you’re allowed to come into his office and talk to him,” James said following the Lakers’ win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

LeBron and Davis are both represented by Rich Paul and Klutch Sports and have bonded since the very second AD was traded to Los Angeles. James took a step back and gave him the keys of the team, sort of like passing the torch. Now, they’re one win away from taking the Lakersback to the NBA Finals after 10 years.
