Even before he made it to the NBA, people were already talking about how LeBron Jameswas going to be. People expected him to become one of the greatest players of all time, and it’s pretty safe to say that he’s lived up to that standard.

LeBron James has been – by far – the most dominant player of the past two decades. Year after year, his doubters, and even his fans expect him to fall off a cliff, as we all know that no one can defy father time.

Yet again, the years keep on passing and James hasn’t missed a beat. His first step is there, his athleticism is there, his hops are there, and – more importantly – his desire to perform at the highest level remains intact.

That’s why a lot of people have speculated whether LeBron James is going to be the next superstar to play into his 40s, considering he still has the body of a 25-year-old and a couple of more rings to win to tie Michael Jordan

LeBron James Claims He’s Unlikely To Play 10 More Years Because Of His Wife

But, when asked about the chances of him playing 10 more seasons until he’s 46, LeBron didn’t hesitate to kill that narrative, adding that his better half wouldn’t let him play that many more years:

“I don’t think I can go to 46 (years), and I also don’t think my wife would like that,” The King jokingly said following the Los Angeles Lakers big win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

The word around the league is that James will likely retire one year after his contract with the Lakers runs out. That way, he’d have a chance to play one season next to his older son Bronny. So yeah, you better watch him while you can, as he’s not staying for long.
