The city of Los Angeles has always had a strong sports culture. However, they had to endure some tough times before watching the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers win their respective championships.

Los Angeles lost arguably its biggest icon in Kobe Bryant in January. Then, the Los Angeles Lakers won their first NBA Championship in 10 years, and the Los Angeles Dodgers put an end to a 32-year World Series drought.

Obviously, the emotions are high in Los Angeles right now. The people have gone through a lot, and they couldn’t even be present in their team’s titles because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which only makes things worse.

LeBron James Wants To Have A Parade With The Los Angeles Dodgers

That’s why LeBron James just couldn’t take it anymore and urged to have a parade to celebrate the titles of Lakers and Dodgers, as they hadn’t won in the same year since 1988, the last time the Dodgers won the World Series:

Man can we PLEASE have a parade!!! I know I know we can’t but DAMN I wanna celebrate with our @Lakers & @Dodgers fans!!! LA is the city of CHAMPIONS,” James tweeted after the Dodgers won the World Series.

Then, he added that the people in attendance of the parade should all be wearing masks with a follow-up tweet:PARADE PARADE PARADE!!! *Safely with (mask emojis),” the 35-year-old tweeted.

Cody Bellinger Agrees With LeBron James, Asks For A Parade

It didn’t take long before former NL MVP Cody Bellinger also asked for a parade with the Lakers, even mentioning city major Eric Garcetti to ask for permission. As of now, it hasn’t been granted.

We can all agree that Los Angeles fans deserve to celebrate with their two beloved teams after such a difficult stretch. Hopefully, if that happens, they’ll try and be as safe as possible to stop the spread of the virus.
