The Golden State Warriors are going through the best moment right now. The Dubs started this NBA season as they finished the last one, struggling to get the results and leaving more doubts than certainties about their chances to compete in the league again.
Even after beating the Chicago Bulls, a team with a lot of struggles too, the Warriors have accepted that they still have a lot to work on before becoming something closer to that team that ruled the league in the past five years.
The Warriors are ready to do whatever it takes to recover their best version and Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr have already identified what they need to adjust to make this team a competitive one again.

The point guard and the head coach are well aware that having different players than during their best years is something that will affect the team for sure, but they’re working on it to turn things around before it’s too late for them.
“Offensively, I think we’re starting to figure some things out. I know I’m starting to get a better feel for what we need to do, how we need to play,” Kerr said.
“I feel like really simplifying how much stuff we’re running and what we’re running. We’ve run certain stuff over the years and there’s been various groups of players who’ve been comfortable with a certain style. I think with this team, I’m finding we need to get more guys into high step-ups and getting them downhill, spacing the floor. We’re going to shoot a lot of 3s, for sure. We shot 47 tonight. What we’re trying to get to is more drive and kick. We did a better job of that. Getting into the paint, kicking it out, playing simple basketball.”
On the other hand, Curry said that having new players on the team will always make the adjustments necessary. Knowing the short turnaround for this NBA season, the work is harder for the Dubs.
The Warriors need to step up if they want to compete in a very difficult Western Conference. They might not be the team that scared everybody around the league but they’re confident they can make some noise around the association. The addition of Draymond Green will probably make things better for them. In the meantime, they’ll try to do as much as they can with the players they have.
