Amid rumors of a possible trade involving LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer may have confused some fans with his recent Instagram post, which appeared to show him training at the Los Angeles Clippers’ facility.
In his post, James is seen working out with the Clippers logo clearly visible in the background—a detail that didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who quickly spotted it and shared their reactions in the comments section.
The post attracted even more attention considering that weeks earlier, LeBron was seen training at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ facilities. However, there’s a straightforward explanation for why he was spotted at what appears to be the rival team’s practice site.
According to For The Win, the reason James was training there is that Klutch Sports Group, the agency run by his agent Rich Paul, uses the Clippers’ old practice facility in Playa Vista to work with its clients.
Rich Paul addresses LeBron trade rumors
Trade speculation intensified after James opted into his $52.6 million contract for the 2025-26 NBA season. In early July, Paul explained that they were assessing what’s best for LeBron at this stage in his career, acknowledging that while the Lakers are focused on building for the future, James still aims to win another championship.
Since then, uncertainty about LeBron’s future has grown, but Paul appeared on ‘TylilShow Live’ to set the record straight. “The man has a no-trade clause. End of story,” James’ agent explained.
“He has a no-trade clause. It’s up to him. He has a no-trade clause,” Paul continued. “So in the event when a player has a no-trade clause and a team wants to trade that player, that player can say no. That’s in his contract”.
