Ever since he made it to the NFL in 2013, Aaron Donald has been one of the most – if not the most – dominant and disruptive defenders in the world, winning back-to-back NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards and logging tackles at a historical rate.
There aren’t many players that can keep Donald in check and he’s often double and triple-teamed by offensive linemen to try and prevent him from getting to the quarterback. None the less, most of the time, their effort is futile.
Then again, even the greatest players on earth have their weaknesses and Aaron Donald isn’t the exception to that rule, as he recently revealed the only player he still doesn’t know how to contain after seven years in the league.
Aaron Donald Admits He Still Doesn’t Know How To Stop Russell Wilson
When talking about the upcoming Sunday matchup between Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks, Aaron Donald had no choice but to tip his hat off to Russell Wilson, claiming he’s the player who makes his job harder:
“It’s happened multiple times over my career playing against him, where I have him wrapped up and he finds a way to get the ball away. He makes my job harder,” the 2-time Defensive Player of the Year told the Los Angeles Times.
Russell Wilson is currently playing the best football of his career and is leading most MVP polls and races, and his ability to make plays with his arm or his feet often puts defenders in a tough position.
So, even though the Rams have put together a solid defense, we can be sure that this Sunday’s clash vs. the Seahawks is going to be a bit of a shootout unless Donald finally finds the way to crack his nemesis.
