Dylan Harperās college basketball career was short-lived, but that was always the expectation. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights didnāt make the NCAA Tournament, and heās now set to turn pro.
Despite his teamās shortcomings and a worrisome ankle injury, Harper, whoās the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, is still a consensus top-three pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Most scouts have him going second overall behind Duke star Cooper Flagg. With that in mind, he shared his thoughts on his NBA comparison, stating that heās very similar to Cade Cunningham.
Dylan Harper compares himself to Cade Cunningham
āThe way he leads, the way he gets to his spots, his overall game, like, heās playing to win,ā Harper said. āAnd heās the star player on that team. His overall, his mindset, going into a game, and just how he plays. Weāre both 6ā6ā I think, we both use our bodies well; big guards, can see over a lot of people. Just winners, and just want to win, basically.ā

Cade Cunningham
Truth be told, the resemblance is notorious. Theyāre both big-bodied guards who can fill up the stat sheet, and they both know how to make the most of their frames to get an advantage over their opposition.
Of course, every player is unique, and he still has to prove himself with the pros. Then again, if heās as similar to Cunningham as it seems at first glance, whoever gets him will get an absolute stud.
