The Uconn Huskies entered the college basketball season as the back-to-back national championships. Now, they might not even get very far in the NCAA tournament.

However, that’s not the only concern for Dan Hurley right now. He knows next season’s team will look very different, as several players aren’t going to be there anymore.

The transfer portal will give them an opportunity to take their talents somewhere else. That’s why Coach Hurley knows some of them might have already made up their minds about their future.

Hurley talked about how much the college sports picture has changed because of the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) era and so many players looking to change programs:

At the end of the day, the programs will have to either adapt or perish, and it’s not like big programs didn’t benefit from their status in the past. This is now everybody else leveling up the field.
