<p>The <strong>2025 NBA Draft </strong>is just a couple of weeks away. As such, it’s officially time to fire hot takes and predictions about these young stars about to enter the toughest competition on Earth.</p>



<p>Notably, Oklahoma guard Jeremiah Fears has been one of the quickest risers on big boards. He led the Sooners in points <strong>(17.1), assists (4.1), and steals per game (1.6) while shooting 43.4% from the floor.</strong></p>



<p>That’s why former NBA champio<strong>n Mike Miller </strong>believes his game will translate to the pros almost right away. More than that, he thinks it won’t be long before he’s one of the best players in the league. </p>

<p>Even before he announced his commitment to play for the Duke Blue Devils, NBA scouts had already penciled in <strong>Cooper Flagg </strong>as the best prospect in his class, and it wasn’t particularly close.</p>



<p>He’s drawn comparisons to players like <strong>Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant, or Grant Hill, </strong>being a mobile and huge player who can fill up the stat sheet and play on both sides of the court.</p>



<p>Nevertheless, it seems like Chuck Klosterman isn’t as high on him as most experts, fans, and members of the media. In a recent appearance on Bill Simmons’ podcast, he had<strong> a less flattering comparison for the Duke star. </strong></p>

<p>Of course, Schrempf was actually a solid player and a steady contributor to some competitive teams. Even so, Flagg seems to have superstar-caliber potential, so this feels <strong>somewhat insulting.</strong></p>

That’s why NBA scouts have him as the projected first-overall pick in the upcoming edition of the NBA Draft.</p>



<p>As such, most people fully expect him to land with the Dallas Mavericks, the team that won the draft lottery and could use another generational talent after giving up on <strong>Luka Doncic.</strong></p>



<p>However, things might not be as smooth in Dallas right now. According to a report by James Edwards III of The Athletic, coach <strong>Jason Kidd</strong> isn’t happy with the organization right now, and he could look to leave. </p>

<p><em>“Kidd didn’t always enjoy being Dallas’ spokesperson in the aftermath of the franchise trading Luka Dončić, per league sources. Kidd didn’t address the media afterward,”</em> Edwards reported, adding that other teams <strong><em>“really believe Kidd is attainable.”</em></strong></p>

<p>Of course, that would also depend on whether Kidd or any other team manage to convince the Mavericks to <strong>either fire him or trade him,</strong> and that doesn’t seem likely.</p>

<p>Notably, whichever team wants to get a scoring point guard will keep tabs on Texas star Tre Johnson, who averaged 19.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, shooting <strong>42.7% from the field and 37% from three </strong>last season.</p>



<p>Johnson turned plenty of heads for the Longhorns, which is why he’s now been invited to attend the <strong>NBA Draft’s green room</strong>, according to a report by Jonathan Givony of ESPN.</p>

I had a feeling I would be around 6-foot-4. So Wade for sure. Him being a two-way player–a high level defensive player and offensive player–that’s something I pride myself in.”</em></p>

<p>Coach <strong>Tom Thibodeau</strong> led the New York Knicks back to relevance and playoff contention. Unfortunately, that didn’t lead to a trip back to the biggest stage: The NBA Finals.</p>



<p>That’s why, even after all he did for the organization, the team chose to part ways after their heartbreaking elimination to the Indiana Pacers in the<strong> Eastern Conference Finals.</strong></p>



<p>With that in mind, St. John’s coach and<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/college-basketball" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> college basketball </a>legend <strong>Rick Pitino </strong>took some time to show some solidarity for coach Thibodeau, but also to make his thoughts on potentially coaching the Knicks loud and clear. </p>



<h2>Rick Pitino feels bad for Tom Thibodeau, won’t coach the Knicks next year</h2>



<p><em>“I feel bad for Thibs because he captured all of New York and built something very, very special,”</em> Pitino said before claiming that he would ‘absolutely not’ take the Knicks’ coaching job.<strong><em> “A lot of us don’t comprehend what happened, but Thibs is going to be well taken care of and move on to other passages.”</em></strong></p>

<p>It had been years since Pitino had been <strong>linked to any NBA coaching opening</strong>, and this might all but shut the door on any potential return to the pros in the foreseeable future.</p>

<p>While that’s obviously<strong> great news for St. John’s</strong>, it might leave the Knicks scrambling to find a suitable replacement for Thibodeau, assuming they were even interested in Pitino in the first place. </p>
