<p>You can’t talk about women’s basketball history without talking about <strong>Dawn Staley</strong> multiple times. The same applies to <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/college-basketball" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">college basketball</a>, and, to be fair, to American sports as a whole.</p>



<p>Staley is one of the greatest female coaches to ever walk the face of the Earth. Moreover, she also had an outstanding career as a perennial <strong>WNBA All-Star point guard.</strong></p>



<p>However, she couldn’t have done any of the great things she accomplished without discipline. That’s why she wanted to send her late mother a loving message during <strong>Mother’s Day.</strong></p>

<p>Knueppel was the <strong>Blue Devils’ second-best player </strong>and scorer last season. He’s an elite sharpshooter and a much better defender than one could tell by the naked eye.</p>

She added a message to thank all the people who accompanied her and helped her grow during her tenure with the Fighting Irish.</p>

<p>She played two seasons with the Fighting Irish after two prior seasons with the Oregon Ducks, where she averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per outing during her freshman year during the 2020-21 season. She joined the Fighting Irish ahead of the 2022-23 season when she <strong>posted career-best numbers in scoring, rebounding, assists and blocked shots.</strong></p>

<p>The Indiana Fever star returned to<strong> Carver-Hawkeye Arena</strong> on Sunday, a little over a year since she last played there during her senior season. It was a preseason game, but fans gathered in the arena and at home to watch the former No. 1 overall pick go against the Brazilian national team.</p>



<p><strong>Jan Jensen,</strong> a former Clark coach, was among those excited to see their wonder girl back home. Jensen didn’t hide her excitement to see her former player become a true professional and thrive at the highest level.</p>

<p>She doubled down on those comments and added another story, this time showing Clark making her way to the arena: “She’s backkkk!” Jensen wrote.</p>



<p>This isn’t the first time Caitlin Clark has returned to Iowa City. She was present during the Hawkeyes’ preparations for the 2024-25 season, spending time with former teammates Kat<strong>e Martin and Gabbie Marshall.</strong></p>



<h2>Revisiting Caitlin Clark’s tenure with the Iowa Hawkeyes</h2>



<p>Caitlin Clark joined the Iowa Hawkeyes ahead of the<strong> 2020-21 NCAA season</strong>. When former head coach Lisa Bluder thought she was on her way to Notre Dame, Clark’s AAU coach revealed that the player was having second thoughts about joining the Fighting Irish.</p>



<p>Bluder didn’t think twice and offered Clark a spot on her team, which ended up being a terrific decision. Coming from Dowling Catholic High School, Clark became <strong>an absolute legend in Iowa.</strong></p>

The No. 1 ranked prospect in the country will play for new head coach <strong>Kevin Young</strong> and a series of talented teammates such as Robert Wright, Richie Saunders, Keba Keita and Kennard Davis Jr.</p>



<p>Before he started playing for the Cougars, Dybantsa made an important announcement regarding his social media. On Monday, the freshman announced he was<strong> launching his YouTube channel.</strong> He’s already a highly touted players, but Dybantsa is now aiming at building his personal brand. This YouTube channel was created to share content with the fans throughout his first season in college.</p>

The Jayhawks, his team for the past 14 years, honored the iconic assistant coach with an Instagram post on Monday.</p>



<p>Roberts detailed what<strong> he’s going to miss from his time on the sideline</strong>s and around campus, revealing how connected he’s been with all the players he’s coached.</p>



<p><em>“The thing I’m going to remember most is the players<strong> and watching them grow,</strong> watching them succeed, and watching them fight through adversity and come back from that,</em>” Roberts said.</p>

<p><em>“This is a bittersweet moment for me because Norm and I have been together since 1995,” </em>Self said. <em>“Norm has played a key role to our success at all of the stops we have had together, especially here at Kansas. From recruiting to developing players to scouting and his knowledge of the game both on and off the court, Norm has been instrumental in what we have achieved. W<strong>e won a lot of games together – many conference titles, deep NCAA Tournament runs, Final Fours and a national championship. We’ve had some unbelievable memories that will last our lifetimes.</strong>“</em></p>



<p>Although he’s been a head coach in St. John’s and Queens, Roberts has thrived at his assistant coach role. He first joined the Jayhawks’ coaching staff during the 2003-04 season. He then served as St. John’s head coach from 2004 through 2010 before taking assistant coach duties at Florida during the 2011-12 season.<br>He reunited with Self in the 2012-13 season, staying with Kansas until the final days of his career.</p>

<p>Mikey Williams hasn’t had the easiest path in <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/college-basketball" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">college basketball.</a> He started his journey with the Memphis Tigers, but his ongoing legal case prevented him from playing for the Tigers. He joined UCF last season, where he averaged<strong> 5.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 37.1% from the field in 14.0 minutes per game.</strong></p>



<p>Williams rose to fame as one of those social media high school phenoms. He appeared to be on a solid trajectory until legal issues derailed his development and ruined all the hype around him. Williams is now trying to become <strong>his best version again and help the Hornets make some noise in the 2025-26 season.</strong></p>

<p>Pope announced last week on a podcast with<strong> Jon Rothstein </strong>that the Wildcats were actively trying to add new players to the roster, although the 12 players on the sheet will play the majority of minutes.</p>



<h2>Kentucky wants to add more talent</h2>



<p><em>“I’m actually scouring the planet right now for guys that would fit in, as maybe a red-shirt guy that would kill it in practice,</em>” Pope said. “<strong>Maybe a last year of your career guy that wants to come here and put on this one of one jersey and be a part of this.”</strong></p>



<p>The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off a solid season with Mark Pope on the sidelines. They finished the regular season with a 21-10 record before beating the Oklahoma Sooners in the second round of the SEC Tournament, but were unable to move past the<strong> Alabama Crimson Tide</strong>, who dominated them with a 99-70 win in the quarterfinals.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Arkansas Razorbacks freshman guard <strong>Boogie Fland </strong>could make a surprising decision and leave John Calipari to join a <a href="http://bolavip.com/en/college-basketball" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">college basketball</a> powerhouse for the 2025-26 season. Fland followed Calipari to Arkansas after the coach left Kentucky and took many recruits with him.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Now, if reports are to be believed, Fland could try his luck with <strong>a different program while making a lot of money in the process</strong>. After a rocky freshman season, which included a torn ligament in his thumb, the young player declared for both the NBA draft and the transfer portal.&nbsp;</p>



<p>He’s expected to enter the NBA soon, but the Florida Gators are trying to lure him away from the association with a reported juicy offer. College Basketball Reporter shared that the Gators could pay <strong>“up to $7 million”</strong> to the guard.&nbsp;</p>



<h2>Boogie Fland is facing a key decision</h2>



<p>Boogie Fland is coming off <strong>a 21-game freshman season</strong>. He missed time from January until the NCAA tournament, where his team was eliminated in the Sweet 16 in a dramatic 85-83 overtime loss to Texas Tech. Fland averaged 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals pr game, shooting 37.9% from the field, 34% from deep and 83.3% from the free-throw line.</p>

<p>Many college players first consider <strong>going to the NBA</strong><em>,</em> but Fland could take a different approach, withdraw from the event, and return to college to join the reigning national champions.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The financial side could play a role in his decision, as NBA franchises can sign players for <strong>between 80% and 120% of the scale. </strong>That said, to get close to that $7 million value, Fland would need to be at least the No. 5 overall pick in the draft.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At this point, <strong>that seems unlikely, </strong>which could prompt the former five-star recruit to keep working on his game while making some money in a program that’s coming off a strong championship season. The Razorbacks showed glimpses of brilliance during Calipari’s first season, but Fland doesn’t seem to be interested in running it back with the legendary coach.&nbsp;</p>
