Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes mean business going into the 2025 NCAA season. In what will be the head coach’s first year without Shedeur Sanders on his team, the NFL legend has established several rulings in Boulder.
The Buffaloes are far from content with how the 2024 college football campaign ended. A bowl appearance and a 9-4 record was a big improvement over Colorado’s 4-8 finish the year before. Still, Coach Prime expects better from the Buffaloes.
Now, Shedeur is no longer on campus, and neither is Shilo. Yet Deion will be keeping a close eye on every player on the roster. As if they were his own children, Sanders has now set the record straight. He wants greatness both on and off the field, and his new house rules show just that.
Tough love
With the school year set to begin in Boulder, Colorado, the Buffaloes head coach has passed down a list of “do’s and don’ts” to be followed by the book. Shedeur and Shilo are perhaps glad they are now away in Cleveland and Tampa, respectively.

“No slides. I’m going to send people to campus tomorrow, if I see you with slides on campus, it’s going to be a problem,” Deion Sanders told his players, per On3. “If I see you with a hoodie on in class with some headphones on in class, it’s going to be a problem.

T-minus one week
The air is getting colder in the Centennial State, and that can only mean one thing: college football is around the corner. The Buffaloes can’t wait for the 2025 NCAA campaign to arrive fast enough. Though the team will be without program legends like Shedeur and Travis Hunter, whose jerseys were retired, expectations are still high for the Buffs.

The offense is expected to be led by Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter, but five-star freshman Julian Lewis could get looks under center throughout the season as well. As it stands, a two-headed monster at the QB position can’t be ruled out in Boulder.
