Fernando Tatís Jr and Juan Soto have taken Major League Baseball for assault since day one. The first is already making a case for being the best player on earth, while the latter is already a World Series champion and one of the most respected sluggers in the league.

Sotois single-handedly carrying the offensive load for the defending champions Washington Nationals, who have struggled to replicate last season’s success through the first half of this shortened campaign.

Tatís jr, on the other hand, sits atop of most National League MVP rankings right now and the San Diego Padres went all-in aheadof the trade deadline to get him as much help as he needs to make it back to the World Series.

That’s why Juan Soto took it to an MLB post on Instagram to acknowledge his compatriot’s efforts by commenting MVP! MVP! MVP! Needless to say, the comment didn’t go unnoticed by the Padres’ star.

The future is bright for the Dominican Republic. They have plenty of world-class superstars that are far from their peak, with Fernando Tatís Jr and Juan Soto clearly leading the race with Vladimir Guerrero Jr also stealing a lot of headlines.

Both Tatís Jr and Soto have strong arguments to take the award back to the Dominican Republic this season, slashing .313/.395./.660 with a league-leading 13 home runs and 33 RBIs (Tatís), and.367/.452 /.800 with 11 homers (Soto)so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them finishing 1-2 in the MVP voting this year.
